eating His words (Print)
January 2019 as we drove past our “big cow” herd near Flinton, PA, we noticed a very new baby calf so we stopped for some reference photos of him. Just then, his massive mama looked uo with a mouthful of straw. Was immediately inspired to recreate this image but using strips of paper with words. The scene conjured feelings of consuming the Word of God, so within the painted straw are strips of scripture from my Grandma Etta’s old Bible: John 6:51 and 6:48. This work was exhibited in the 2019 Westmoreland Art Nationals and won the New Entrant Award during the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival.
