Here Be Dragons
6”x6”
Acrylic, Mixed Media on Canvas
When kayaking at Glendale Lake I’m always on the lookout for inspiring wildlife ... camera ready for reference shots ... and typically spend most my time chasing these incredible blue dragonflies around the lake or taking one for a ride on the boat. I love the transparency of their fragile wings. I was inspired to add champagne colored beads to represent movement of these beautiful creatures.
Anisoptera
Part of the “Bugs Beyond the Pond” (Honorable Mention) “24 Minis” Juried Exhibition at the Manos Gallery, Tarrentum, PA. in August 2024.
