Kintsugi - Healing in the Broken Places

$5,360.00

15”x30” diptych

Acrylic, Gold Metal Leaf on Canvas

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of reattaching broken pottery pieces back together with melted gold. In the process of repairing what has been broken, sometimes we can create something more beautiful, unique and resilient.

Circle of gold is symbolic of holiness and our healing will come from a spiritual place. Allium and Star of Bethlehem symbolize atonement, reconciliation, unity and patience. The hummingbirds and bluebirds are symbolic of healing and harmony.

Kintsugi - Healing in the Broken Places won 4th place at the 2023 Southwestern Pennsylvania Council for the Arts 28th Annual Regional Juried Exhibition.
